I am Jorn (Chi-Chung) Yu, Ph.D, ABC-CC, Professor of Forensic Science at Sam Houston State University and a Board Director at the Houston Forensic Science Center. With over three decades of experience in forensic chemistry and crime scene investigation, I integrate artificial intelligence, chemometrics, and advanced analytical techniques into forensic science practice.I have authored 45+ peer-reviewed publications, hold a U.S. patent for intelligent chemical analysis, and secured multiple competitive research grants from federal and state funding agencies.As a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Commissioner for FEPAC, and Voting Member of ASB Crime Scene Investigation and Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Consensus Bodies, I actively shape forensic science standards and education. My mission is to advance forensic science through innovation, collaboration, and global outreach.
