In my role as partner of assurance and advisory business services at Hood & Strong LLP, I am responsible for managing all aspects of financial audit engagements for our clients in the not-for-profit industry. I work working closely with audit committees and not-for-profit boards to prepare and present audit results, and I ensure that audit engagements are executed in accordance with professional standards and financial statements. In addition, I mentor staff for future growth within the Firm, and I am an instructor for orientation and continuing education programs to teach firm policies and training modules on accounting and auditing topics for new accounting staff.Founded in 1917, Hood & Strong provides audit, tax, and business advisory services to the most successful start-ups, established businesses, individuals, and not-for-profit organizations throughout the US.
