ABOUT JORGE SALAS
I have filled senior managerial roles in application development and engineering for more than seven years, working in both for-profit and nonprofit settings.My duties have included overseeing all stages of SDLC, project management, scaling operations to meet changing demand, product management, staff supervision, training, and coaching. I have engaged C-level executives and other senior leaders to plan technology strategy and obtain funding for special technical innovation projects. I played a lead role in instituting an Agile methodology and culture at a global company. I also directed a DevOps initiative that created and enhanced a Continuous Integration and Deployment Environment (CI/CD). My understanding of Java, Python, C#, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript has let me direct a wide range of development projects. Beyond my technical acumen, I have demonstrated leadership skills and an understanding of what the business needs. Co-workers and vendors have recognized me as a team builder who collaborates to enhance internal systems, implement process improvements, and achieve project goals. I improved productivity, morale, and retention by designing and instituting a work from home program for 130 employees throughout IT operations.
