About Jorge Porras
During my dynamic 14 year career as a finance professional, I have developed a diverse skill set that has allowed me to provide strategic insights to solve complex problems and challenge the status quo at various functions and levels throughout the organization. I have been able to successfully advise management on financial transactions, including contract, brand, and joint venture partner negotiations, as well as focusing on and building collaborative relationships with internal and external customers. I have worked in South and North America in both small companies and multinationals. During this time, I have developed key financial and customer service metrics, implemented them by creating customized automated reports for each level of the organization, and successfully managed the processes to improve such metrics through multidisciplinary teams leading to significant organizational changes. More recently, I have provided financial insights to executives to profitably win and extend our real estate portfolio. Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, playing tennis, getting involved in the community, and raising my three children. I also want to put my skills to good use to follow my dad’s example of creating and supporting organizations to combat social injustice and assist troubled youth.
