About Jorge Pecci
I’m a marine industry executive with over 30 years of global experience spanning seafaring, marine insurance, and risk management. I began my career as a Deck Officer and Master on cargo vessels, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges of life at sea and the importance of maritime safety.After joining AIG in 1993, I held leadership roles including COO Global Marine and Head of Marine for the Americas, leading operations across the Americas, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and CIS.In 2016, I became CEO of SafeWaters Underwriting Managers and Head of Ryan Specialty’s Marine Practice, driving the growth of its specialty marine insurance business worldwide. I also served as a Non-Executive Director on the Advisory Board of Virtual I, supporting innovation in digital marine risk solutions.Today, I serve as Vice President of Commercial Services at the National Cargo Bureau (NCB) — a non-profit organization dedicated to its mission: “Safety of Life and Cargo at Sea.” My focus remains advancing marine safety, underwriting excellence, and risk management through global collaboration.
