Provides the overall technical knowledge to be able to address any questions from department supervisors, lab technicians, or Dentists Responsible for hiring, training and development of lab technicians within the in-house laboratory Manages work flow and provides leadership to ensure work is done promptly and professionally Attends meetings and answers questions, while providing input to Regional Directors and Office Managers Communicates with Owner and COO on issues or technology that needs to be addressed for the future growth of the lab Communicates with department supervisors, office managers, or Regional Directors on issues that arise- technical or personnel Communicates with Dentists on cases Trials new materials and techniques and work with vendors to advance our treatment. Prioritizes, schedules and manages a wide range of cases within multiple due dates Complete required production reporting within established timelines and reporting parameters.(i.e. follows schedule of cases and finishes them on the dates documented) Evaluates and implements policies and procedures. Directs daily activities, evaluates performance and training needs in relation to company objectives for laboratory personnel Ensures the highest level of quality in all laboratory output Drives performance improvement in the in-house lab in the following (but not limited to) areas: o Clinical Care/Outcomes o Customer Service Improvements o Operational Systems/Processes o Laboratory Safety Works with Human Resources on staff evaluations and professional development needs of staff Maintains confidentiality of all materials and information handled and carefully manages the proper release of information Completes payroll duties per established protocols for laboratory staff
