ABOUT JORGE L. AROSEMENA

Jorge, a MIB Graduate at the University of Florida Hough Graduate School, is a highly motivated individual, fluent in English and Spanish, and skilled in analyzing macro and financial data. During his time in Ecuador, he graduated from High School, and worked in the family business, helping in the administration office and other operational departments of the firm. In 2015, he moved to Orlando to pursue an undergraduate degree in Finance and a career in the Financial Service industry. During college, he developed a great understanding about Capital and Moeny Markets as well as there wide-range of asset classes, the term structure of interest rates, corporate finance, financial derivatives, and portfolio analysis. He also participated in a semester abroad at WU, Vienna University of Economics and Business and took multiple courses in the field of international finance and strategy. He also graduated with a minor in Accounting, which allowed him to gain a good understanding on financial accounting methods and reporting standards, the regulatory environment around SEC filing and disclosure rules and the laws governing the taxation of business entities and individuals. In Agust 2018 he graduated with a 3.6 major GPA, and in October 2018, he joined BNY Mellon as a Private Equity fund accountant, where he eventually moved up into a Lead Admin role and learned about alternative investments, private fund operations, strategies and asset classes as well as its legal structures, fund terms and its applicable regulations. In May 2024, he earned a master\'s degree in international business from the University of Florida, where he did a semester abroad at Bocconi University in Milan, and delved deeper in alternative investments topics thourgh courses like Mergers & Acquisitions, Venture Finance, Structured & Project Finance, International Finance, Emerging Markets Finance and Asset Management as well as Global & Business Strateg Mangement and Entrepreneurial Business Development. In these courses, he refined the skills used in industry & strategic analysis, financial forecasting & modeling, risk management, deal structuring, syndication and contract analysis. He is now in the job markets looking for full-time opportunities in Private Equity, Venture Capital or Investment. Banking, where his background can be of great value.
