Hello World! My name is Jorge Hernandez, I am an intellectually curious first-generation Latino student focused on making the world a better place one smile at a time :)! Having the honor to Intern for Ernst Young for two summers, I gained experience in the Professional Services Industry. Here I rotated through the 3 main service lines offered by the firm, Audit, Tax, and Consulting. Through these engagements, I worked in dynamic teams which helped me develop as a young professional. I took the initiative to participate in client and internal meetings, which allowed me to familiarize myself with the company along with my teams. I made sure to ask questions in a timely manner to have an understanding of the meeting context and tasks that were assigned to me. I made it my priority to execute the tasks by the deadlines that were assigned to me. Aside from that I am a Third Year Business Administration student at Diablo Valley College. While I study at DVC I have done my best to get involved with campus communities including participating in Student Government, helping lead our local Business Club, and starting a Creative Collaborative Club for the Arts! Being part of these communities has helped me forge a better understanding of fellow students and myself!

   Tutor a diverse set of academic subjects ranging from Accounting, English, Spanish, Public Speaking and Computer Science for 12 hours a week in DVC athletics academic support center. Students who come for tutoring have difficulty understanding core concepts. Patience is essential to instruct step by step how to execute an assignment. Creating more productive members of society.
