Managing all commercial transactions concerning Credit Karma’s marketing of credit card and home/mortgage products on its marketplace while acting as the primary legal contact for the Business Development (i.e. Sales) team. Key responsibilities include the negotiation and drafting of partnership agreements, counseling business leaders on deal structure, managing risk, developing playbooks, interpreting applicable regulatory guidance, and facilitating collaboration with other key stakeholders across the company such as data security, privacy, engineering, and product development.Negotiating first-to-market broker partnerships between Credit Karma and several mortgage lenders while advising on the successful development and launch of the “CK Home Loans” product, through which Credit Karma acts as a mortgage broker on behalf of members applying for mortgages through its marketplace. Optimizing legal operations functions such as the automation of workflows, the generation and self-population of form agreements, improving the organizational structure of document repositories, implementing AI software to allow for streamlined negotiations and analysis of stored documents, and conducting trainings for business groups on how to properly leverage these new technologies.Providing guidance on the impact of various laws and regulations, such as the GLBA, Dodd-Frank, Regulation E, Regulation Z (TILA), FDCPA, FCRA, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, RESPA, and state unfair competition statutes.Advising on the development of new AI features, including the successful launch of Intuit Assist, an AI-powered LLM operating across all Intuit products, with key responsibilities including regulatory guidance, product development, and ensuring compliance with existing commercial agreements.Negotiating complex, large scale procurement agreements and assisting junior attorneys with the negotiation of more routine procurement agreements, non-standard NDAs, and insertion orders.
