   Music is my creative outlet. I truly believe that music carries the power to change people and teaching orchestra is a way that I can share my love of music with others. As an orchestra teacher for Mountain West Strings Academy (MWSA), I have taught classes sizes of between 12-35 students. RESPONSIBILITIES • Teach 4th and 5th graders to play string instruments including violin, viola, cello, & bass• Prepare and develop lesson plans following curriculum guidelines• Enact classroom policies and procedures• Report to MWSA Director on the progress of the class• Develop creative ways to help students understand the material and keep the class exciting• Direct school assemblies and concerts• Communicate with parents and students about class progress, upcoming events, and student progress
