As a Senior Consultant at Actica, I lead the delivery of comprehensive cybersecurity services to critical and national infrastructure clients – primarily focusing on OT/ICS cybersecurity. My role involves proposing, designing, and implementing innovative cybersecurity solutions that align with global standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2.0 and NCSC CAF.Key Responsibilities- Application of IEC 62443 to guide remediation efforts and design secure architectures for OT/ICS systems- Collaboration with technical stakeholders, ensuring that the implementation of cybersecurity measures does not impact the safety or availability of critical systems- Conduct thorough threat assessments, ensuring that secure by design principles are adhered to, as directed by the relevant regulators- Designed innovative cybersecurity solutions tailored to client-specific IT and OT environments- Presentation of cybersecurity architectural initiatives to senior stakeholders- Mentorship of summer interns, whilst working at Actica. Key Achievements- I led the development of a framework for cybersecurity architecture, focusing on both IT and OT environments, in accordance with frameworks such as NCSC CAF, NIST CSF 2.0 and IEC 62443 – a project that was well received by business stakeholders and senior leadership- I delivered a security modelling training pilot to a group of senior executives, educating them on how they can use security modelling to identify cybersecurity risks during all phases of the project lifecycle, following a secure by design approach- I led the delivery of an options paper, assessing the cybersecurity considerations of two network segmentation options, allowing senior stakeholders to make an informed, risk-based procurement decision.
