Founded Youth One in 2014 and led it through 10 years of growth from a small grassroots idea into a multi-site youth & family centre serving hundreds of young people every week. Responsible for organizational leadership, vision, strategy, culture, and community impact.Key Achievements- Built and expanded programs serving over 650 registered youth annually, removing financial and social barriers to access- Created and led major community-wide initiatives including the Youth One Gala, Oldman Backyard Ultra, and the Launch Forward Youth Sponsorship Campaign- Grew Youth One from $0 to in annual operating budget, building sustainable systems and long-term funding structures- Developed core organizational infrastructure: staff culture, training frameworks, operational systems, and strategic scaling plans- Designed and launched prevention-based out-of-school programs, sports drop-ins, daily mentorship, and support services- Awarded Community Leader at Lethbridge Polytechnic (2025) for contributions to youth and community developmentAbout Youth One:Youth One exists to provide prevention and mentorship based programs, meals, and support services for youth aged 11-18 - at no financial barrier. Established in 2014, Youth One emerged in response to the demand for affordable, quality-driven, mentorship-based programs supporting youth after school. In North America, 1 in every 2 youth grows up without a mentor or caring adult, leaving them to navigate life without essential guidance and support during their crucial developmental years. Research indicates that having even one positive role model/mentor significantly reduces risk factors such as drug and alcohol abuse, crime rates, mental health issues, and dropout rates. Our mission is to ensure no youth has to face life alone. We firmly believe that supporting youth to live out their full potential enhances the future health of our community.

I founded Youth One in 2014 with a simple vision: create a safe, welcoming, barrier-free space where youth could find connection, stability, and support during the most formative years of their lives.
