I am a knowledge seeker with a passion for learning something new and I like to find myself at the intersection of environmental law, government, and public policy. My expertise includes environmental and agricultural science and policy. I enjoy finding overlooked solutions to problems and leading teams to apply sustainable solutions to combat environmental and agricultural concerns.I am an experienced environmental compliance facilitator with eight years of military service focused on environmental compliance inspections for facilities that utilize intermodal transportation for hazardous materials (HAZMAT), oil, agricultural bulk, and industrial bulk goods. I also have significant experience in federal environmental policy and marine pollution response.I have participated in two internships, running simultaneous to my work and schooling. For over a year, I worked with the Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee where I acted as a primary impact analyst and point of contact for the US Coast Guard during the multi-million dollar, inter-agency construction of the Chicago electric fish barrier. I also participated in an internship with Jo-Carroll Depot LRA / Savanna Industrial Park where I conducted environmental impact analysis and economic development research pertaining to the construction of an international intermodal shipping port on the Upper Mississippi River. My colleagues would describe me as well-educated, driven, trailblazing, responsible, analytic, and they would highlight my integrity. I am seeking opportunities that allow me to gain experience in the environmental services industry while I pursue a graduate/law degree. My specific fields of interest include environmental compliance, environmental social and governance (ESG), and sustainability, but I see myself as a true interdisciplinary with many interests.
