Manages Perrigo’s Apprenticeship program for PMI, PMH, & POC-Collaborates with all U.S. sites on apprenticeship programs-Documents apprenticeship agreements with Perrigo and the Department of Labor (DOL). Meets with DOL and State of Michigan on a periodic basis to review apprenticeship program and support audits when requested-Enrolls apprentices in classes at local colleges / trade schools and order textbooks and course materials and reviews apprenticeship progression with each apprentice quarterly. Reviews class content and curricula with local colleges and trade schools and suggest improvements to align with Perrigo’s needs and regulatory requirements-Registers electrical apprentices yearly and issues certificates of completions to apprentices. Facilitates National Electric Code (NEC) update classes-Works with HR to submit Personnel Action Forms (PAF’s) as apprentices complete steps-Leads meetings with apprentices and journey workers to capture feedback and make improvements to the overall program. Facilitates a monthly Apprenticeship Steering Committee with management representation from multiple sites.
