About Jordan Kurzweil
I’m Jordan.A maker of things, builder of teams, and firm believer that great work comes from great people, and that style, a distinct identity, and cultural relevance win every time. This philosophy has led me to: create an agency, help transform a legendary nonprofit, launch some groundbreaking work, and mentor some incredible people along the way.Here\'s some more about me, to feed the word bots and find the algorithms—as told in the corporate bio third-person:The story.Jordan is a creative leader with 30+ years of experience. In that time he has seen quite a few cultural shifts and honed a clear understanding for how storytelling, technology and design can create brands that last, products people want, and cultural moments that resonate.Jordan works at Comic Relief, where he is refreshing the brand identity, reimagining the content, and using comedy to enlist anyone and everyone in the fight against childhood poverty. Jordan also founded an agency that has partnered with over 50 companies, ranging from Fortune 500 giants to game-changing startups like SoundCloud, Levi\'s, Tumblr, Condé Nast, IAC, The Economist, BBC, MTV, Nike Foundation, The Food Network, The Orchard, and Her Highness. Each partnership focused on one thing: authentic connection to customers and audiences. The foundation. Before working two jobs, which he loves, Jordan held leadership positions at News Corp and AOL, where he built many creative teams, ran several online businesses, and launched a raft of pioneering content, products, and campaigns. His work hit nearly every type of content and industry, including art, comedy, e-commerce, entertainment, fashion, health, gaming, music, news, sports, tech, to name a few. Jordan’s career started in NYC\'s indie film scene, where he learned that great creative comes from doing the work. Fresh out of school, hustling for a small production company, he wrote, produced, directed, and edited a bunch of industrial films, a few ads, and a couple of music videos. He also did the books and networked the office computers. What drives him. His work-life and life-life, have been guided by a healthy obsession with culture—high, low, new, and old—an eye for quality, an uncanny sense of what\'s next, and a proclivity to jump feet first into new things. When he\'s not working, Jordan hangs with his family in Brooklyn, surfs in Rockaway, runs the East River bridges, and feeds his senses and sensibilities with music, books, movies, art, design, travel, food, Japanese denim, and Jordan 1’s.
