National Program Director @Advance Native Political Leadership
Advance Native Political Leadership is an Indigenous woman-led organization working to expand equity and representation of Native people in U.S. politics. Of the elected offices nationally from city councils to President, Native American\'s should occupy roughly of those seats to simply have representational parity based on population. Of those we currently hold less than 200. That\'s a big problem. In my role as National Program Director for Advance, we\'ve accomplished: Launching the Native Leadership Institute, a first-of-it\'s-kind institute addressing key leadership development, data infrastructure, and messaging challenges designed by and for Indigenous peoples. Our 4-day candidate training program prepares Indigenous candidates to run for office and win. Build Native Power Coalition, a network of over a dozen state and national Native-led nonprofit and political organizations focused on building political power for Native peoples.
