   Architected, trained, and productionized the flagship credit‑risk model to be used as the sole underwriting engine for the Marine & RV loan portfolio, driving hundreds of thousands in risk‑adjusted lending decisions for the highest growth area of the business.• Built out and refined metrics for evaluating model performance, mitigating uncertainty and overfitting. Utilized this structure to evaluate hundreds of models (GBM’s, SVM’s, non-convex linear regression, recursive feature elimination) which lead to a further boost in the production model by an 8% increase in AUC.• Performed rigorous feature discovery and data cleaning to select variables to reflect applicants true risk (using multivariate and uni-variate approaches), prevent data leakage, and eliminate confounding factors to dramatically improve classification, fully cooperative with compliance and risk management guidance.• Operationalized the model via a Flask REST service packaged in Docker.Collaborated closely with Data Engineering team and business leadership in the creation and use of the data pipeline for my client business unit.• Created report for review by Model Governance team for new credit risk model addressing concerns for interpretability, model complexity, model uncertainty, overfitting, and disparate impact of protected classes.
