WORK HISTORY
Employee Experience Manager @The New York Racing Association
NY, US
At the New York Racing Association as the Employee Experience Manager, I get to shape what it feels like to come to work every day. My focus is on making sure people feel connected and clear about their path forward. I dove into HRIS data to organize hundreds of employee profiles, creating a career framework that’s now the backbone for most of our non-union team’s planning. I also revamped onboarding by listening to what new hires had to say, designing a process that helps them hit the ground running and feel at home. Leading onboarding sessions, I make sure everything’s buttoned up, think seamless paperwork and a warm welcome, while keeping it human. When challenges pop up, I’m there to sort them out, working closely with teams to find solutions that stick. My goal is to blend big-picture strategy with a genuine care for people, building a workplace where everyone can succeed.

ABOUT JORDAN HAYWOOD
For over seven years, I’ve been helping teams and companies build environments where people genuinely want to show up. That’s why we call it human resources, right? We’re supposed to be the resource that helps employees build a connection and find purpose in their work. I’m Jordan Haywood, and this has been my focus from the start.Growing up in a tight New York neighborhood, I learned the power of connection and building relationships, whether helping a neighbor land a job or organizing community events. That’s carried into the passion I have within my career. At the New York Racing Association, I streamlined employee profiles for clearer career paths and designed onboarding to help new hires settle in fast. At Vibrant Emotional Health, I crafted training and performance reviews that kept people engaged. Using tools like Paycor and Workday, creating team-building workshops, or diving into feedback to address real issues, I work to make every workplace feel like a community.Outside of work, I’m a New Yorker who loves coffee shops, attending local events, and mentoring young professionals. Connection fuels me, from my neighborhood roots to building systems that support entire organizations today.I\'d be honored to help create a workplace where your team feels connected or to simply share the best coffee in NY. Message me here or at H••••••••@gmail.com, I’d love to chat with you.
