Lead Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience building and improving software, primarily in the insurance industry. I\'m a.NET engineer at heart, working mainly with C# and SQL, with additional experience in TypeScript and Vue.js. I care about writing clean, understandable code and keeping things as simple as they need to be. I see testing as part of writing reliable software, but I’m just as focused on architecture and making sure the right problems are being solved. A lot of my work involves modernising legacy systems and untangling complexity, which I genuinely enjoy. I’m someone who likes to get stuck in, whether that’s debugging a tough issue, improving workflows, pairing with teammates, or picking up unglamorous but important tasks that move things forward. I’m not precious about the work, if rolling up my sleeves helps the team or the project, I’m all in. Supporting others is a big part of what I enjoy, whether that’s through mentoring or helping people get unstuck
