ABOUT JORDAN T.
Jordan Thompson is a dedicated community organizer and experienced campaign strategist. In his current role as Community Organizer at the NAACP’s Legal Defense and Education Fund, he supports the organization’s commitment to racial justice while tackling critical issues like water affordability, housing inequality, and alternatives to policing.Prior to joining the Legal Defense Fund, Jordan worked on a variety of electoral and policy-based campaigns on the East Coast. His work history includes roles at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Indivisible Project, Mighty Earth, Conservation Law Foundation (CLF), NextGen America, Black Lives Matter, and the National Foster Youth Institute. Jordan interned on Secretary Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign during the New Hampshire primaries, and was an organizer for Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2020 primary cycle. He was also the first-ever Racial Justice Organizer for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in New Hampshire.Jordan has a keen interest and skill in policy, advocacy, and organizing; as he has successfully engaged with diverse audiences and stakeholders, and has received multiple honors and awards for his work. Jordan\'s goal is to use his organizing, nonprofit, and campaign expertise to advance social justice and positive change in his community and beyond.
