   Ballet Instructor for STG\'s AileyCampResponsibilities- Taught 1-4 technique classes per day, Monday - Friday- Created age-appropriate choreography and lesson plans for students- Choreographed for the final camp presentation in consultation with the Ailey Camp Director, Ailey Camp Administrator, and other faculty- Participated in rehearsal, preparation and day-of-final performance activities- Supervised campers as directed on field trips- Participated in regularly scheduled staff meetings- Participated in lunch duty, free periods and general supervision of campers when not teaching in class.About AileyCampAileyCamp is a FREE summer day camp where middle school aged youth (ages 11-14) learn about dance and important life skills, develop self-confidence, self-awareness, and creative expression – all in an atmosphere of empowerment, respect, and trust.STG AileyCampers take daily dance classes from experienced teaching artists in popular styles such as West African, jazz, ballet, percussion and modern. The campers participate in daily Personal Development and Creative Communication courses focusing on:youth empowerment, healthy decisions drug abuse prevention; improved nutrition; and using visual art as an effective means of expressing thoughts and feelings. At the culmination of the program the students will perform at the Moore Theatre. The Final Performance highlights the accomplishments and successes of the campers time at STG’s AileyCamp.STG is part of the AileyCamp national program from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
