About Jordan Cohen

I am currently completing a Master’s in International Policy & Practice (MIPP) at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, concentrating in conflict resolution, with a regional focus on Israel and the broader Middle East. Prior to graduate school, I spent over 20 years leading strategic communications, research, and positioning for high-growth technology companies, from early-stage through IPO. My work centered on shaping public opinion, supporting fundraising and exits, and operating in demanding, fast-paced environments. I served as a company spokesperson quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and USA Today, appeared live on CNBC and Bloomberg, and spoke at global forums including Mobile World Congress and Oracle CX. That operating experience now informs my academic work. Through my Capstone — “Track 0: Building a Parallel Ecosystem of Peace” — I examined why formal diplomatic efforts often stall in protracted conflicts and how political incentives, narrative dynamics, and civil society actors affect policy outcomes, particularly in the Israeli-Palestinian context. My coursework has included U.S. National Security, Foreign Policy Decision-Making, Insurgency & Counterinsurgency, Transitional Justice, and Advanced Qualitative Methods. I am focused on applying enterprise-level operating discipline to foreign policy and peacebuilding organizations — particularly in roles that require strategic vision, narrative coherence, and innovative thinking.
