ABOUT JORDAN TAM
I have 15 years of experience leading social science and impact assessment research, with direct experience across many sectors including mining, oil and gas, transmission, ports and marine shipping, rail, and road infrastructure. I have extensive experience supporting clients to identify and achieve their objectives by leading innovative social science research and have collaborated on projects with over 100 Indigenous communities and organizations across Canada, focusing on baseline study design and implementation, and the assessment of project impacts on Aboriginal rights and Indigenous interests. My research and publications cover a diversity of topics including the implications of socio-demographic shifts in natural resource governance; traditional and ecological knowledge in environmental assessment contexts; conservation planning; small-scale fisheries management and protected areas; developing and measuring socio-economic indicators of wellbeing; conservation under climate change; and more. I am also highly proficient in stakeholder engagement and facilitation and has managed and designed numerous data collection efforts using interviews, surveys, site visits, focus groups, and workshops.
