ABOUT JORDAN SIMPSON

I am a full stack software engineer that is passionate about creating innovative software solutions. I\'m constantly looking for ways to apply software automation to improve quality of life, both for users and developers.Being a full stack developer has allowed me to have experience in many important areas of a web application. In general, for front-end technologies, I am well-versed in the widely used languages such as Javascript/CSS/HTML, as well as some templating languages like JSP, Thymeleaf, and EJS, along with some popular Javascript libraries like jQuery, React, and others. However, I spend most of my time working in back-end technologies like Java and Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Security, Cloud, Data, etc.) to create RESTful microservice APIs to serve enterprise-level applications. I also have experience working with Oracle, MySQL, DynamoDB, and Cassandra/ScyllaDB databases.I routinely work with AWS cloud components. My projects are built into Docker images with CodeBuild, pushed into ECR, deployed into ECS or Lambda, and interact with other components like SQS, DynamoDB, S3, and more.I am a faithful proponent of automated tests. As a personal rule, I include automated tests with every change I make, to maintain >=80% code coverage.On the side, I write for the popular code blog Baeldung, contribute to Spring, and maintain the websites that I\'ve developed (see more under Accomplishments > Projects).When I\'m not developing software, I get to work my favorite jobs: husband and father.
