California Code, Business and Professions Code - BPC § 6450(a) “Paralegal” means a person who holds himself or herself out to be a paralegal, who is qualified by education, training, or work experience, who either contracts with or is employed by an attorney, law firm, corporation, governmental agency, or other entity, and who performs substantial legal work under the direction and supervision of an active member of the State Bar of California, as defined in Section 6060, or an attorney practicing law in the federal courts of this state, that has been specifically delegated by the attorney to him or her. Tasks performed by a paralegal include, but are not limited to, case planning, development, and management; legal research; interviewing clients; fact gathering and retrieving information; drafting and analyzing legal documents; collecting, compiling, and utilizing technical information to make an independent decision and recommendation to the supervising attorney; and representing clients before a state or federal administrative agency if that representation is permitted by statute, court rule, or administrative rule or regulation.

ABOUT JORDAN SEIDLITZ
Jordan Seidlitz is currently working in Civil Litigation and Estate Planning in San Diego, California at the Lavelle Law Group APC. Prior, high-stakes management roles within the federal government has formed his experience to be able to work under any type of pressure. As a target processing center chief in the military procuring sensitive data for timely responses for over 4 years as well as being responsible for and distributing over worth of marine corps assets scheduled amongst tied entities. Jordan has also been a volunteer formerly at Poway Unified School District being patient and careful helping kids with special needs during their classes. Jordan has formerly volunteered to be honored as a head coach for a local San Diego middle school flag football team for the competitive season against other middle school teams! From being San Diego raised to becoming both a San Diego State and University of San Diego School of Law alumni while volunteering at local public k-12 schools and coming along working with fantastic mentors and coworkers right in the heart of government and private practice, Jordan has been focused on helping the broader community and country from the grass roots of his town within the beautiful sunny & classy environment of San Diego, California.
