ABOUT JORDAN RUDNER
I\'m a staff attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid, where I work in the Family Law unit and focus on domestic violence prevention and survivor support, primary in the context of divorce, custody, restraining orders, and immigration law. Prior to joining BayLegal, I spent one year clerking for a federal judge at the district court level, where I worked extensively on both civil and criminal cases. I graduated from Stanford Law School in 2022 with highest pro bono distinction, and I am a member of both the Texas and California state bars. Before attending Stanford, I worked as a professional journalist in Austin, Texas and Washington, D.C. I also spent two years providing direct service to refugee families and survivors of domestic violence in Anchorage, Alaska. I earned my undergraduate degree in 2016 from the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in Plan II and History, minored in journalism, and earned an honors distinction for my senior thesis. I firmly believe that all people deserve to live their lives with autonomy, safety, and dignity, and I\'ve worked hard to advance that goal throughout my career. I have excellent taste in music, middling taste in breakfast cereal, and a perfect dog named Biscuit.
