About Jordan Pelton

I started my experience in the Biotech and clinical field as a Phlebotomist and worked my way from there. Once I graduated with a Biology degree from the UofU, I worked as a Medical Technologist in a genetics lab. From there, I got a job as a Field Service Engineer now installing, repairing, and supporting the same instruments I used as a Med Tech. I then moved to the great Pacific Northwest and took a promotion as a Field Application Scientist for the same company, where I trained new users on Next Generation sequencing and provide continual advanced support. I stepped away from support to try my hand at sales and didn\'t enjoy it as much as I thought, albeit a great growing experience. I decided to come back to support where I found more joy in helping and supporting customers with their cancer research and so grateful to continue my journey here at Invitae. Every job I have had has lead me to the next job - I am always looking for ways to challenge myself and grow. I am an experienced Sales/Marketing, Field Application Scientist and Engineer, with a demonstrated history of working in the biotech clinical and research industry. Skilled in Biotechnology, Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR), Life Sciences, Genomics, and Sequencing. Bachelor\'s Degree focused in Genetics and Biology General from University of Utah.
