ABOUT JORDAN MAYFIELD
My top priority is giving families the best funeral experience for their loved ones and providing them support for coping with their loss. As a platoon sergeant in the U.S. Army,(now retired after 13 1/2 years of service) serving 30 months ( 2 deployments)in Iraq and being a part of the Funeral Honor Guard. In this position I presented the American flag to the widows and families of fallen soldiers or veterans. I received my certification from the Old Guard, instructors who were from Arlington National Cemetery. I also headed up the Army Honor Guard in five Indiana counties and oversaw the military grave site honor for the Army. In that time I grew a passion for taking care of people in probably one of the most difficult times in their lives, So that is why I pursued my calling to become a Licensed Funeral Director. I work for Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth IN and I can tell you that it has been a great experience for me to get to work with these caring and compassionate directors everyday as we strive to provide the legacy that your loved one lived. I graduated Vincennes University with Cum Laude Honors in August of 2018, passed the NBE National Boards in September, served my year of internship, passed my state board examination and received my directors license in December of 2019. From the time being a mortuary student I have had the fortunate privilege of working with some top notch embalmers and restorative artists. This has driven my passion to the arrangements office to reassure that the decedent\'s family wishes are and will be carried out to the fullest of my capacity. A funeral is not a day in a lifetime, it is a lifetime in a day.
