Each payload is analyzed in detail for hazards pertaining to the flammability, materials, structures, mechanisms, toxicity, biology, electrical components, etc. of the hardware to be flown. Hazard Analysis is accompanied with communication to the providers to ensure the payload is compliant with NASA S & MA requirements, and proper safety measures are verified by facilitating Safety review meetings with the NASA Safety Panel and the Provider for final approval.
