ABOUT JORDAN GARCIA

An accomplished and highly credentialed professional engineer with an exceptional track record spanning over 15 years of engineering experience, I hold both the Project Management Professional (PMP) and the Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) credentials, which demonstrate my expertise and standards in safety, engineering excellence, and project and risk management.My core competencies include asset integrity, risk-based inspection, mined excavation methods, and cut and cover methods. I have successfully applied these skills in various infrastructure projects, such as the subway line construction and the cable-stayed bridge in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT in Toronto, Canada. In my current role, I am leading the developing and deployment of a structural integrity standard across the base metals business of Vale, aiming to identify, analyze and treat structural asset risks in a proactive and systematic manner.My mission is to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that optimize the performance, reliability, and safety of the assets and operations. I seek inputs from recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices and follow applicable statutes, regulations, standards, and codes. I also value mentorship and collaboration, as I believe in supporting, influencing, inspiring, and guiding others in their learning journeys.
