About Jordan Joseph

As a Video Editor at Metro Productions, I focus on editing a diverse range of videos for non-profits (like the American Heart Association and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance), commercials for broadcast (for the VA Attorney General), and corporate brands (like Airbus). I’m accustomed to utilizing Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and everything in between to create award-winning media for clients like the United States Military. My career highlight thus far has been creating a video for the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum Annex Udvar-Hazy Center’s Airbus IMAX Theater! I created a series of welcome videos to screen in the IMAX theater’s massive screen before each and every museum showing. I couldn’t have been more psyched to watch my work shown on one of the largest screens in the United States. It was a joint effort with Metro Productions with over 10 shoot locations around the country and over 50 interviews that I condensed into a series of upwards of 10 video deliverables for Airbus. Truly an honor to create cinema-worthy content for the Smithsonian Museum!I’ve accrued over 5 years of experience running Rule of Thirds Studio, 3 years at Metro Productions, and 10+ years in the video professional space. My education is vast spanning over 10 years. I received an education with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Cinema Studies at Oberlin College, a semester abroad studying at the prestigious and world-renowned Prague Film School, and time spent taking additional courses in the Virginia Commonwealth University Cinema Program. I’ve also received a Post-graduate certificate awarded for outstanding work in the VCU Advanced Media Production Technology (AMPT) program. I was a Fellow in the Media Institute for Social Change (MISC) creating a documentary on the homeless epidemic in Portland, Oregon.My speciality is video editing, professional color grading, professional audio mixing and sound design. I’m also wholly capable at professional level videography, and digital and film photography services, including portrait and product photography, as well as social media marketing content. My technical expertise includes Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Adobe Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, and DragonFrame — with a strong focus on video color grading. I’ve shot on everything from Sony cameras to Canon and worked with RED cameras creating and editing footage. I’ve even shot Super 8 and 16mm motion picture film.
