ABOUT JORDAN JOANISSE
I left Canada 15 years ago to seek out diverse ideas, cultures, and worldviews to better understand myself and the world around me. Each encounter with difference served as a new point of reference that helped me to learn how people and cultures differ and what we all have in common. During this time, I was fortunate to experience and learn from a range of cultures and perspectives through learning to speak Indonesian and Mandarin Chinese, by living in 6 countries and 4 continents, and continually reading history, literature, and philosophy. This experience has helped me to build, lead, and manage teams in Indonesia, China, South Africa, Australia, the UK, Canada, Switzerland, and South Korea to drive growth and key business outcomes in start-ups and large corporations. Throughout this time, I have continually learned and applied new skillsets, including full-stack web development, data analytics, and digital product management to further drive growth and innovation. During my career, I\'ve had the opportunity to build products and lead digital transformations at top organizations including Eton College, the International Baccalaureate, Education First - EdTech, and Prodigy Education. My continual learning allowed me to lead the development of award-winning software platforms from ideation to release, 3X the growth of operations at an online tutoring start-up, strategize and execute digital transformation at top educational institutions, and help adapt Eton College learning products to the Chinese market. I am currently enrolled in the inaugural, part-time Master of Digital Product Management program from Smith School of Business at Queen\'s University to further develop my skillset as a product manager and digital transformation leader. I love triathlons, all things outdoors, and continually learning about technology, philosophy, history and cognitive science.
