With my deep experience in drug discovery, I have knowledge of medicinal chemistry concepts, such as synthetic organic chemistry, structure-activity relationships, structure-based drug design, and skill in the synthesis and purification of organic compounds. For the past seven years, I have been in peptide-based drug discovery, leading to have one drug candidate nomination and multiple publications in high impact journals. But, I still have a passion to move on from this niche and move toward small molecule drug discovery, to which I think that I can also have a large impact.While at Mariana Oncology, I was able to generate nearly nearly 500+ compounds through synthesis by CRO organizations or my own hand leading to between five and 100-fold increase in the potency of multiple series of macrocyclic radiopharmaceuticals.Also, I was able to play a key role in the optimization of our synthetic and purification procedures leading to a five fold increase the yield of our syntheses with better purity profiles.I am looking to build my professional network and seeking opportunities to continue my research.
