ABOUT JORDAN GUERNSEY

A lifelong learner, I’m motivated by the challenge of transmuting data from scattered pieces of information into a resource myself and others can use as building blocks to complete value-additive projects. I like seeing things come together and working on a variety of platforms like a photographer in a dark room to help pictures emerge from the data.I come from a background in data management and have grown my skills to include data analysis and transformation, programming, and visualization. I have endeavoured to learn about diverse business needs and applications through the pursuit of an MBA, and I look forward to further exploring the applications of data analysis and visualization in new and creative spaces.Without being provided a clear professional path of progression or formal mentorship from my early roles, I took it upon myself to seek out new opportunities for growth and adding value by:• Partnering with geologists and applications architects to develop a user-friendly Spotfire database showcasing core data to wider internal audience, streamlining data transformation process for all user levels• Leading contributions to Spotfire database reconstruction, enabling our chief engineer to conduct annual detailed analysis of past economics and reserves to make recommendations to CEO regarding future actions• Produced interactive dashboards and visualizations for various Spotfire projects and provided one-on-one and group training, increasing data awareness and accessibility for users with custom functions to increase productivity; also have experience with Tableau and PowerBII love learning about people as much as data and am passionate about building relationships, so please reach out if you’d enjoy a conversation over coffee about anything from data and BI to fitness and life in general!Core Competencies: Data Mining, Data Visualization, ETL, Scripting, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Employee Training, Competitor Analysis, Economic Impact Analysis, Reserves Analysis
