I\'m excited to share a bit about my journey in public policy and advocacy. Currently, I have the honor of serving as a Special Assistant in the Department of the Treasury\'s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence under the Biden-Harris Administration. My career has been shaped by a genuine passion for public service and a commitment to making a positive impact in our communities.In my role at TFI, I work on some crucial initiatives that protect U.S. financial systems and help prevent terrorism. It\'s a privilege to play a part in safeguarding our nation, and I enjoy collaborating with various departments and international partners. My focus is on ensuring that communication flows smoothly and that we create effective strategies to address global financial challenges.Before this, I had the privilege of working as a staff assistant in Senator Amy Klobuchar\'s office, where I learned so much about the legislative process and the importance of supporting our constituents. One highlight was reorganizing our Tours Program, which helped clear a significant backlog of requests in a short time. My journey hasn\'t just been about government roles; I\'ve also engaged with organizations focused on social justice and inclusion. Serving as a Representative with the Congressional Black Caucus and Senate Black Legislative Caucus has allowed me to advocate for policies that empower marginalized communities. I\'m passionate about addressing systemic inequalities, especially in areas like education and healthcare.I also value my time spent on campus as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the University of South Alabama, where I work to foster a more inclusive university environment. Beyond the campus, I\'ve been dedicated to encouraging young people to participate in our democracy, whether through voter registration drives or engaging discussions.Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and am currently pursuing an MBA, which has bolstered my problem-solving skills and strategic thinking. I believe in the power of education and continuous learning as tools to drive effective change.As I continue my journey in public policy, I\'m eager to connect with others who share a commitment to positive change.
