About Jordan Ault
I didn\'t know much about what I wanted to do with my life when I was in college, but I knew one thing for sure: I didn\'t want to be a lawyer. So, of course, I went to law school. And joined a firm. And stayed with that firm for 16 years. And spent my career trying to be a lawyer. a little differently. From the beginning of my career, I structured my practice to center pro bono work and service to nonprofits. I realized these organizations have just as many legal needs as traditional for-profit companies, yet there are important differences in their operations and mission-driven structure. I knew Husch Blackwell\'s industry-first approach was the perfect solution, so I launched the firm’s Nonprofit Organizations & Religious Institutions team.I have the pleasure of working with churches, synagogues, mosques, denominational entities, faith-based schools and healthcare providers, neighborhood and community groups, and other nonprofit organizations of all sizes. That work ranges from daily guidance on various legal and strategic questions to overseeing a wider team of attorneys that provide a one-stop shop for a variety of legal needs, including real estate, employment, tax, corporate and other matters.I also use my experience to represent nonprofit and religious clients in litigation, including employment matters, personal injury and abuse claims, contract disputes, and probate matters. That work includes complex First Amendment matters involving religious freedom, property ownership, and the intersection of civil and ecclesiastical law, including litigating and resolving several lawsuits involving disaffiliation from a denomination. In addition to nonprofit work, I\'ve spent more than a decade litigating product liability and toxic tort cases for many of the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, automotive parts, and industrial and consumer products. That work includes the defense of cases in dozens of jurisdictions across the country, including successful results at mediation and in the courtroom. My favorite part of this work is mastering the technical intricacies of cases and creating trial themes that synthesize complex corporate histories, allowing clients to craft the best solutions for their business need.Outside of the courtroom, Jordan is a husband to Chelsey, a dad to Jo, a board game enthusiast, a piano player, and a B-horror movie fan. A primary life goal is finding the best food available wherever he travels.
