About Jon Verville

I am humbled to be part of enabling humanity’s permanent return to the lunar surface. We are trading the flags and footprints ‍ of Apollo for the bases and infrastructure of Artemis. We are going! I serve as the Data Systems Lead for the Lunar Communication Relay and Navigation Systems (LCRNS) project at NASA Goddard in Maryland. I lead an efficient and small team responsible for the verification of the end-to-end data transfer for the lunar relay capability supporting our NASA Moon2Mars, Artemis, and Science mission portfolio. I am also the LunaNet Interoperability Specification (LNIS) Data Services Working Group (DSWG) Lead. LunaNet and the evolution of LNIS is a tri-lateral partnership between NASA, ESA, and JAXA. Over the course of my 20 year NASA career I have worked on numerous complex space engineering projects involving enterprise application management, product data management, satellite ground station design, data acquisition/processing, antenna design and fabrication, and RF receiver design.
