FARFETCH connects customers in over 190 countries and territories with items from more than 50 countries and over 1,400 brands, boutiques and department stores.As a Principal Platform Designer I worked on back office tooling, and acting as the bridge between Product, Research, Design, and Technology. I worked closely with these teams to find a balance between the needs of the business, users, and end customers.My work touched on everything from boutiques, the production centers, shipping and logistics chains, pricing, taxes, automation, and design systems. I also worked on numerous internal projects, providing mentorship, training and guidance to the teams, as well as developing best practices.Over the last five years my role included Platform Thinking, Design Thinking, Digital Transformation, and working with senior internal stakeholders. I also led a myriad of projects which required creating internal business proposals, selling initiatives internally, and project management. These projects covered research, user experience, design, prototyping, user testing, through to build. In addition I also managed complex dependencies and pilots across multiple geographies and cross functional teams.
