I\'m passionate about building grass-roots connections as the foundation for service & community transformation & support. We champion localism & inclusion. Our lead programme is #HelpAndKindness in Dorset. We\'re working to increase access to services & help with identification of gaps in provision. We are continually developing opportunities to help people work smarter by working together; weaving in public, private & third sector organisations, individuals & groups. Our service develops & supports solutions that are based on shared assets, dialogue, & real collaboration. The acid test for all our work is its impact on people, particularly those who may find themselves at the margins, or slipping through the gaps. We work with hundreds of community groups, businesses & projects across Dorset, & with strategic partners at Dorset Council, Dorset NHS CCG, Public Health Dorset, Volunteer Centre Dorset, Dorset Race Equality Council, DCA, & many others. Our core help & support information service is used by the public, community groups, businesses, support agencies, & infrastructure / public sector partners. We\'ve developed new networks for projects dealing with FOOD INSECURITY, we support the continuing work of the COMMUNITY COVID SUPPORT GROUPS (creating comms between them & the wider support agencies), developing COMMUNITY NETWORKING FORUMS for communities to work better together, helping with STRATEGIC MODELLING OF SERVICE SUPPLY / GAP ANALYSIS in communities with statutory partners, building NETWORKS TO SUPPORT SMALL CARE BUSINESSES to increase the support to people in their homes. These are just the tip of the iceberg as far as our collaboration and activities go.#HelpAndKindness is the result of a lifetime of voluntary and community engagement, as well as supporting dozens of VCSE organisations through huge investment of pro bono work through Alacrify Ltd.
