About Jon Slangerup
Jon Slangerup is a successful corporate director, CEO and private equity executive with proven skills in strategy development, team building and operational execution. He has over 40 years of executive management experience, including more than 30 years as a CEO and corporate director of both public and private companies. Mr. Slangerup began his career in military and commercial aviation, leading to a distinguished 20-year career with FedEx where he advanced to become president of FedEx Canada. Since FedEx, he has served as a board member and/or CEO of a diverse number of service and product companies engaged in global logistics, enterprise software solutions, clean energy technology, and maritime services. Since 2007, Mr. Slangerup has worked with private equity firms as a board member, operating executive and M&A advisor, leveraging his leadership skills and extensive business experience to transform portfolio companies into global market leaders. Concurrent with his work in private equity, Mr. Slangerup served in a government service role as CEO of the Port of Long Beach, a global leader in multi-modal trans-Pacific trade. During his career, he has developed businesses in North America, Europe and Asia, serving customers in more than 100 countries and managing numerous corporate mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his corporate work, Mr. Slangerup serves as a trustee of his alma mater, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and holds bachelor and master\'s degrees in Aeronautics and Business Administration.
