Nashville, TN, US
Member of a cross-organization DevOps team alongside developers to create pipelines. These pipelines performed application builds, vulnerability scans, and deployed containerized apps to an OpenShift cluster. We also designed and implemented a POC for deploying Java apps in Azure. This included network design (VNET, NSG), Azure App Service, API Management Gateway, and event hubs for log ingestion into Splunk.Architected Azure DevOps pipeline to build multi-architecture container images for developers. This allowed developers on ARM based MACs and x86 based PCs to utilize the same set of images for application development.Implemented Splunk Enterprise Security and ITSI.Grew Splunk Enterprise deployment from a single site VM based cluster to a multi-site 5 search head, 22 indexer cluster utilizing 36 core Dell servers and ingesting ~2TB of logs daily. This required application and OS tuning including: swap config, implementation of parallel pipelines, maximization of concurrent searches per core, optimization of various queues and dedicated IO threads.Designed and implemented a solution to place Splunk configuration files in version control and automate distribution to the cluster utilizing GitLab and Ansible Tower via webhooks.Supported multiple mission critical applications via on-call rotation in a 24x7 enterprise environment. Applications include: OpenShift, Splunk, Weblogic, HealthConnect, Tibco, Stonebranch, Confluence, AppDynamics, OEM, Bamboo, Bitbucket, JIRA, Nexus, Artifactory, and many others.
