ABOUT JONNY FARMER
I am a 40-year veteran of the ever-changing technology world, starting out my working life as a programmer I progressed through the ranks to lead a number of complex technical projects in areas as diverse as dairy product distribution, car park monitoring and control through to airline applications. For seven years I led the design, development, implementation and subsequently the support team for the Document Production Solution in a major UK bank. This included the architecture and implementation of a revised document production platform as part of the largest IT integration project in Europe. After leaving the bank in September 2012 I took up a role at Saggezza as the Senior Manager with responsibility for the Customer Communications practice in the UK and Europe. I have helped one of the UK’s largest print and mail service providers with the architecture, build and implementation of a new Digital Production Workflow platform and the subsequent on-boarding of work from a leading UK bank.Now I find myself in the fascinating world of Entertainment at Sky where I look after a team of amazing engineers providing the back-end that supports our Sports and News Web and Mobile App content including on-demand short form video on demand.When I started on this journey I promised myself to look for roles that meant I never had a boring day - 35 years in it is so far, so good!
