About Jonny McCreary

I founded LaborMax Staffing in 2002 with my business partner and good friend Mike Ingham.We opened for business in a small office at 1305 Vegas Valley Drive in Las Vegas. Unfortunately things didn’t exactly start off with a bang. We closed our first week of business on Friday, June 7th, 2002 with a whopping $180 of billing on a 26.9% gross margin. Worse yet, the P&L showed $11,754 dollars in operating expenses. To say we were both ‘a bit concerned’ is an understatement! We had just walked away from good jobs with steady incomes, and had opened up on dollars of seed capital. In the first week alone we had burned thru about a fifth of our money just to get the office open. According to the ‘experts’ who write books on entrepreneurship, we shouldn’t have opened up on anything less than about but fortunately, we didn’t know any better. Thus, I had appropriately titled our little adventure as, “TWO CHUMPS AND A DREAM”. First, we had good software thanks to Carvin Software, and second, we weren’t afraid of hard work. We were committed and very dedicated. And work hard we did. For the next 4 years we worked 12 to 14 hour 6 and often 7 days a week. Failure was not an option.Fortunately, the hard work and singular focus has paid off. LaborMax now stands at 70 plus branches providing service in 20 plus states and growing. We feel strongly that our better days are ahead of us. We’re just getting started!
