ABOUT JONNY FISHER

With 21 years experience in the flooring industry I have worked as an area sales representative covering East Anglia and London. Over the years I have established strong relationships with flooring contractors, distributors and architects. With my previous role as a regional sales manager I extended my contacts and relationships across the southern and midlands region whilst managing 6 area managers for a market leading company.With a company buyout and restructure I progressed in being responsible for both Gradus and Gerflor sales in distribution whilst managing a number of key contractors throughout the southern regions.In 2022 I moved from manufacturing, where I had spent my flooring career, into distribution as a Contracts Manager for Headlam Ipswich. Responsible for the procurement, promotion and commercial strategy of our contract suppliers I put my previous commercial contacts and understanding to use. In 2023 I was promoted to Head of Buying at Headlam Ipswich where I was part of the senior leadership team running a team of 6 in the buying department alongside contributing to the strategy of the site.In 2024 I was approached to take on a dual role as the contract category manager for Headlam Group. First point of contact for our key contract suppliers and working with them and our branches around the UK to create and deliver the correct stocking strategy.In September 2024 I moved into the contract category role full time for the group.March 2025 I was thrilled to announce that I had been promoted to Commercial & Contract Category Director. Having done the category buying role handling our biggest contract suppliers, I now have a team of managers and oversee the entire category at director level reporting to our Chief Buying Officer.
