ABOUT JON BARNARD
I am a positive and open-minded Sports Performance Coach with ambitions to positively influence athletes both physically and mentally in the sports industry. Whilst studying for a degree in Sport, Exercise and Coaching Science alongside an internship at Scunthorpe United Football Club as a strength and conditioning coach, I have found that improving athletic performance is an area that I am very passionate about. I am specifically interested in how nutrition and physiology combine to reach positive results. To further my development in this area I am engaging in the UKSCA weightlifting for sports performance workshop and the ISAK level 1 accreditation. I also currently engage in numerous voluntary positions within sport, specifically with Bottesford Town Football Club and North Lindsey College, coaching various age groups both individually and in a team environment. During these placements I have shown commitment and resilience though adapting environments, learning about individuals as people, not just athletes.
