About Joni McDonald
As of January 2026, I joined the Advisory Council of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at University of Dayton. https://continuingeducation.udayton.edu/udayton/course/course.aspx?catId=7Before retiring from IBM in 2022, I directed writing, editorial, and design efforts of those who produce essential IBV thought leadership content that supports the IBM brand. In 2021 research we commissioned, 88% of CEOs said they have made a purchase decision in the past 90 days based on an organization\'s thought leadership. My role proactively manages an annual content portfolio of more than 200 writing/design projects on short schedules against milestone dates, delivering +$2B in pipeline performance throughout 2020.In addition to my program management/project management duties, I performed editorial guidance for my team that creates and vets high-profile, award-winning Thought Leadership (TL) assets based on primary research by the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV).My previous IBM experience includes client-facing and leadership roles as a Project/Program Manager, Business Analyst and Developer. Other in-depth experience includes consulting and requirements analysis, application design, testing, and development, knowledge management, Web page design and other information development, and rapid education development and delivery.
