I lead South Dakota Biotech, the state affiliate of the international BIO organization, providing vision and a voice for the state within the larger biotech industry as well as operational management of the association. As an advocate leader for more than 50 association members, I closely monitor public policy and influence legislation and regulation on behalf of my industry. Our diverse membership includes industry leaders, economic developers, academia and businesses that support our biotech companies. My role also includes promoting the growth and positive impact of biotechnology through public education, public relations, and direct communication to our membership as well as through events such as forums and networking opportunities.
