About Shaun Jones
Developer of solutions for the DoD, Plugins for Atlassian, FinTech Software, and Secure Platforms. I love to build new things with clients, engaging at every step of the process - from requirements to production. FinTech Background - Started with Financial Software for Hedge Funds Agile: Atlassian/GitLab - Atlassian Expert & Certified ScrumMaster Full Stack Developer - Proven Success, Requirements through Production Shaun started as a data management team leader in the financial industry, administrating the daily aggregation of secure banking data from more than 300 institutions. In this role he also served on several scrum teams involved with the development and enhancement of proprietary financial operations software. He later moved internally within the organization to the investment side, working as an alternative investment analyst - holding 1 of 10 seats on an investment committee with $50+ bln in AUA. In this role he remained on several scrum teams, contributing in both a developer and business analysis role. After eventually leaving that firm Shaun took over the operations department at a boutique investment advisory; overseeing all data, reporting, software, and IT for the firm. From there, he joined Ascend Integrated in 2014, working as a principal consultant - with duties including requirements gathering, DevOps tool development and configuration, and DevSecOps implementations. In 2017 he stepped into the role of Ascend\'s COO, directing internal projects, leading Atlassian delivery, launching a training division, and expanding into new areas of growth. Ascend\'s rapid growth during this period led to a 2021 acquisition by Contegix, with Shaun stepping into a new position as VP and Head of Public Sector.
