About Jon Endean

After about half a decade of transactional tax practice, I moved into full-time academia at NYU School of Law. After finishing my two-year position there, I transitioned to a tenure-track role at Brooklyn Law School, joining a long history of excellent tax professors who have been affiliated with the school.My research is focused on tax law, with a particular focus on unearthing its foundational principles, investigating its relationship to non-tax law, and understanding how these principles can help inform broader theoretical debates surrounding property rights, sovereignty and federalism, and the relationship between code-based and common law regimes.My teaching experience includes Corporate Taxation, Partnership Taxation, and Tax Policy. In addition to those courses, I also plan on teaching Federal Income Tax and International Taxation.
