SSIMPLUS® VOD MonitorTools: Java, REST API (OAS), Vert.x, Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, Hazelcast• Led the effort to design, implement and document REST APIs, using the Open API Specification (OAS), to expose SSIMWAVE\'s industry-leading, two-time Emmy® award-winning solution for video quality of experience (QoE) measurement.• Developed a framework for the automated generation and testing of REST APIs that relies on loosely coupled microservices and asynchronous message-based programming to establish a resilient architecture that supports elastic scaling.• Designed and implemented first-class support within the aforementioned framework for clustered deployments into any Kubernetes platform, exposing performance metrics via Prometheus.• Created a workflow where video analyses are estimated as to their complexity, assigned appropriate hardware resources and finally scheduled, executed and removed upon completion using a co-operating system of Kubernetes jobs/pods and node affinities.• Participated in the design, implementation and deployment of a system to process Kafka streams carrying SSIMPLUS® metrics that can be used to provide pass/fail decisions for both source validation and encoder performance use cases.• Developed the API and UI to generate and display the proprietary SSIMPLUS® quality and banding maps used in frame-level inspection of video assets.• Responsible for the principal engineering effort to design, implement, document and test various deployment strategies for the SSIMPLUS® VOD Monitor product, including SaaS, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Docker, VM (OVA) and AWS AMI in EC2 in order to support the trial, lab and production needs of our many customers.• Acting as VOD technical lead for all established and potential customer accounts, providing technical guidance and support, including everything from informal communication over various digital mediums to prepared presentations, professional documentation and system integrations.
